Have you ever wondered about:

  • The utility company's process for adoption of Energy Efficiency (EE) and Demand Response (DR) technology?
  • How to engage with utility companies for assessing your technology, including field tests?
  • How to qualify for or benefit from utility programs such as rebates and incentives?
  • How to bid and win a utility company's third party solicitation?
  • The role of third party implementers and how they can help you in commerical adoption of your technology?
  • How investors can use utility company resources to assess opportunities?
  • How to find the right people to talk to about utility company technology needs?
Then you need to attend this upcoming TRIO Symposium, because all these and other questions will be answered by utility company representatives from SCE, PG&E, Sempra and SMUD: the four largest utility companies in the state of California, and for some, the country.

This TRIO Symposium is brought to you by the Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council (ETCC) sponsored by the California utilities, California Energy Commission and California Public Utilities Commission, and sponsored by Southern California Edison.

The agenda will be a full day of interactive discussions with utility company representatives responsible for the assessment and adoption of new energy efficiency and demand response technology.

The Technology Resource Incubator Outreach (TRIO) Symposium is a statewide initiative by the members of the ETCC designed to accelerate market introduction of energy efficient products and services by providing information, training, and access to energy utility resources. TRIO’s goal is to promote early stage innovations that will contribute to California’s energy savings targets for the future, as well as meeting national goals for energy efficiency.

This free event is a must attend for key stakeholders including entrepreneurs, investors, technology transfer officers, researchers, and other professionals interested in energy efficiency and demand response technology.

This event will not be a good fit for renewable energy, biofuels or other non-EE or non-DR companies. We reserve the right to limit the number of attendees from any singel organisation.

Please enter through Gate 4 on Jefferson Boulevard and park in Parking Structure D.  Registered attendees may stop at the booth to recieve a free parking pass. Driving directions can be found here.
